Green Team Announcement & Invitation

The St. Alban’s Green Team is pleased to announce that our church grounds have been certified as a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat. This certification unites us with individuals, schools, churches, colleges, parks and other friends of wildlife across the country who have committed to protecting and nurturing wildlife in the properties they control. To achieve this distinction, NWF members must attest that their property provides food, water, shelter and protected places for wildlife to raise their young. Every Certified Wildlife Habitat garden must also be maintained in a sustainable way that incorporates native plants, conserves water and doesn’t rely on pesticides. To show our pride in this recognition and to help educate our neighbors in the importance of wildlife habitat, we have erected a plaque provided by the National Wildlife Federation in the entrance to the Caldera Garden.

This certification is also something parishioners can apply to their own properties.  Learn more and apply online here.
