BURIAL OF THE DEAD

See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them as their God; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more.

- Revelation 21:3-4

As the body of Christ, the death of one brings sorrow to us all. The clergy, staff and Bereavement Committee of St. Alban’s are ready to support you when death happens in your family. We want to help you through this important and difficult time, whether that means planning ahead or planning when a loved one dies. If you have a death in your family, please contact the church office to coordinate pastoral care and the funeral service.

St. Alban’s Episcopal Church has a Memorial Garden which is intended as a place for contemplative thought and prayer for the community. The Garden includes a central memorial marker and flowers beds in which the ashes of church members may be committed. The Memorial Garden is open to the public at any time for quiet prayer. Please contact the church office for the full Memorial Garden policy.
