YOUTH MINISTRIES
The Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and you shall speak whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.”
- Jeremiah 1:7-8

MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School for Middle and High School Youth (6th-12th grades) is typically held in the youth room beside the choir room downstairs on Sunday mornings between Labor Day and Memorial Day at 10:15 a.m., joining the service with their families immediately following. Breakfast foods are served. We welcome new faces all the time, so please come join us! You can register your youth for Sunday School HERE!
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP
St. Alban’s youth group is for 6th-12th grade students and is typically held on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm either on the back lawn outside the church or downstairs in the renovated youth room. We meet each week with different activities ranging from fun games, recreation, yummy meals, offsite activities, service projects and many more events including ski trips, beach trips, retreats and Diocesan Youth events. For more information, please contact Courtney Fossett.
YOUTH CONFIRMATION CLASS
Periodically, we offer a six-week class for youth (9th grade and above) who wish to explore being confirmed in the Episcopal church. This class is taught by the clergy. Bishops preside at Confirmation, so the class is scheduled based on the date of the Bishop’s annual visitation. Class dates will be announced in all parish communications.
ACOLYTE MINISTRY
Beginning in 6th grade, youth are invited to serve in worship as torch-bearers, crucifers, and in other liturgical ways. Acolyte ministry is a special and meaningful part of our worship tradition.
DIOCESE OF NC YOUTH PROGRAMS
The Youth Ministry Program provides opportunities for young people (grades six to twelve) to come together in a Christian environment in fellowship with other youth to grow in spiritual formation and develop leadership within the church. This mission includes supporting youth leaders and congregations in their youth ministries. There are many fun diocesan youth events that take place throughout the year. For more information, please contact Courtney Fossett.
