He is Risen Indeed!

Happy Easter everyone! What a wonderful day filled with so many little excited faces at the Easter Egg Hunt. It is such a joy every year to see all the families and children dressed up for a beautiful day. All of them searched high and low on the playground for all the eggs filled with little prizes. As we have in years past, we continued the tradition of using the emptied eggs to vote on which Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) cause we contribute to, and I have to say each of them were fairly equal this year. These causes include goats, beehives, hurricane relief, and chickens. The chickens I think just inched over as the winner. It is so wonderful to see the children learning about these causes and watching them ponder over which to choose is adorable.

It is my great privilege to also oversee our youth and this time of year I am always particularly proud of yet another group of graduates that I have known some of since they were in 2nd and 3rd grade and some even longer. This year we are bringing back Youth Sunday on May 18th at the 10:30am service. Our youth and graduates will be taking on roles in the service, even the sermon. Please join us for this amazing service, where we will also honor the graduates of St. Alban’s. They will be presented with special gifts, and we will continue the tradition of prayer warrior cards, so you can adopt a graduate to pray for throughout the year. We wish them the brightest of futures and know they will do great things.

As we begin to wrap up Sunday School with only four Sundays to go, I want to say how thankful I am for the awesome volunteers that continue to give their time and treasure to our children and youth. We would not have any of these programs without them. It is truly a joy and honor to have them helping me make Sunday School, Youth Group, Vacation Bible School, Children’s Chapel, Nursery, and Family Events happen. We are always looking for others to join them in making a tremendous difference in the lives of our children and youth. Please contact me to learn more.

Thank you,

Courtney Fossett
