St. Alban's Landscaping Committee
As evidenced by past and current wishes to contribute to the beauty and functionality of our church grounds, we are blessed by the generosity and thoughtfulness of our St. Alban’s family. Thoughtful landscaping enhances the aesthetics of our space and reflects our concern in providing a welcoming church environment.

To ensure that all landscaping donations are harmonious and support the overall vision for our grounds, the St. Alban’s Landscaping Committee was recently formed. We will be establishing a process and guidelines for landscaping contributions. When implemented, these steps will help us avoid some small challenges we have encountered in the past and allow your generosity to have a greater and more lasting impact.

Initial Guidelines for Landscaping Donations

1. Review Our Landscaping Wish List
To make contributions as meaningful as possible, we will develop a St. Albans Landscaping Wish List that will include items currently needed, such as specific trees, shrubs, benches, and other outdoor features. This list will help to ensure that new additions fit seamlessly into the overall landscaping design and maintenance plan. As time passes, the Wish List will be revised as necessary to reflect ongoing landscaping needs.
2. Contact Us Before Donating
Before purchasing or donating, we will request that members of the St. Albans Community first contact the Landscaping Committee via the form below. This will allow us to confirm that your chosen item aligns with the Wish List and fits into our landscaping plan.
3. Placement and Installation
All donations will be placed and installed in coordination with both the Landscaping and Building & Grounds Committees. This will help us to ensure a cohesive design and prevent unintentional issues, such as unwanted statuary, overcrowding or interference with utilities.
4. Irrigation System Improvements
Donations aimed at improving irrigation or watering systems will be especially appreciated. These contributions ensure the health and sustainability of our landscaping while reducing the burden of manual maintenance. Examples include drip irrigation systems, sprinkler upgrades, or rainwater collection solutions.
5. Dedications and Memorials
If a donation is intended as a memorial or dedicated gift, we will be honored to discuss appropriate recognition options, such as plaques or markers associated with the landscaping gift which keep with the overall harmony of the space.
6. Ongoing Care and Maintenance
Some landscaping items may require periodic care or replacement. While St. Alban’s is committed to maintaining donated items, additional contributions to assist with upkeep will also be appreciated.

Your willingness to enhance our St. Alban’s grounds through thoughtful landscaping contributions is a gift that will benefit our congregation and community. By working together, we can better ensure a beautiful, functional, and harmonious outdoor space that serves as a blessing for all.
Thank you for your past generosity and for being a vital part of our St. Alban’s family. Again, please feel free to reach out with any questions or ideas via the form below.
