Manna for Life Event

The Neighborhood CARE Center is a ministry that provides support to the Hispanic and Smithville communities. Both St. Alban’s and Gethsemane Baptist Church of Lake Norman (GBC) have been active in several of these caring outreach programs sponsored by the Neighborhood CARE Center. One such event is “Manna for Life” where groceries are provided to local families in need.  This year GBC plans to serve with St. Alban’s, as we host the October 10 “Manna for Life” event at the Neighborhood CARE Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The “Manna for Life “event requires volunteers for the following tasks; registering families (designed only to ensure we provide the correct distribution of groceries for each family based on the size of the family), traffic control, packers, runners (often kids), and a cleanup crew.  Rather than use SignUpGenius to fill these openings, we will be taking another approach. This alternative approach will allow folks to bounce…
