For surely, I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me. -Jeremiah 29:11-13
Sunday, June 4th we will honor the 2023 graduates of St. Alban’s, both high school and college. We hope you join us to celebrate them. So many of them have been here since preschool and have grown up in St. Alban’s. So much ahead of them, our high school graduates taking the next steps in adulthood toward being on their own and our college graduates beginning their lifelong adult journey. Much time is spent reflecting these days, maybe it’s that I just celebrated a milestone birthday, or that one of the graduates is one of my own, or recent losses that make me realize that making memorable moments is precious and that we should appreciate every day and live it to its fullest.
I found so many different bible verses to serve as inspiration for our graduates, but this one truly spoke to me. The Lord knows the plans he has for us and desires that we strive toward peace for a future filled with hope. There is a plan, and we trust that he will guide our graduates toward a hopeful future. We must breathe deep and trust in him. When we call for him, he will listen and when we search, there we will find him. As they embark on their futures, we as parents remind ourselves that we did our jobs to show them the way. All their beginnings of faith and love will carry them beyond where we even thought they could go. Please join me in praying for and supporting these graduates as they embark on their futures!

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. -Romans 12:2
